About me
I am of L’nu’k (singular: L’nu), also of the Aln8bak, and Métis (Red River) peoples.
Some people would say I live in ‘Canada’, but ‘Canada’ is actually occupying our territories, and destroying the land and everything living and non-living on it and within it. Do not call me ‘Canadian’, I am not a ‘Canadian’, having told them as much I am not.
My L’nu people’s territory is called Mi’kma’ki, and the provinces of ‘Nova Scotia’, parts of ‘New Brunswick’, ‘Quebec’, ‘Newfoundland’, and all of ‘PEI’ are our turf, the land that we protect, and to this day they deny us free access to it. My Aln8bak people’s territory is southern ‘Quebec’, ‘Maine’, and ‘Vermont’. My Métis people are from what are now called Winnipeg, and traditional territory in “Alberta” around what the settlers call Cold Lake.
I share ancestry with the Wendat (AKA Huron; of the ‘Cord’ clan) also. I live on occupied Kanienke:haka (Mohawk) territory, and have many friends and allies from that Nation.
